A beckoning cat in a Japanese cypress box inviting good fortune. This “Fukumasu Manekineko” are handmade one by one with attention to detail. It is said that the name “Manekineko” comes from a Chinese legend that when a cat raises its paw and rubs its face, customers will come to the storefront.

The “fuku-masu” is a lucky charm that brings good luck and invites good fortune. In addition, the “fuku-masu” is made of hinoki (Japanese cypress), which has a purifying effect, and thus helps to remove bad luck.
