MADE TO ORDER
Wicker bags and cases made from willow (yanagi) trees have been a well-loved craft for over 1200 years in Japan. The wicker attaché case design became a worldwide hit when it was first introduced at the 1900 Paris Exposition at the World's Fair. This case was produced by Takumi Terauchi, who is the only craftsman in present-day Japan that can still produce them in the traditional style.
