Kashoen
Hiroshima
KASHOEN is the oldest make-up brush maker in Japan and has been making exquisite, quality brushes for over 130 years. They supply the largest cosmetic brands in the world, and their client list includes illustrious VIP’s and make-up artists. Established in Kumano, Hiroshima in 1883, their brushes were used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo). Soon, they were the preferred brush of artists, then the make-up industry. Now, as the sixth generation of this family business looks toward the future, they hold onto the perfectionism of their past. Of the six grades used to designate hair quality, Kashoen uses only the highest grade. A single brush goes through 50 procedures before it can be used. They believe “perfect craftsmanship creates perfect beauty.”
