HAKUICHI

Glass Tray – Akafujiuji (Gold Leaf)Default Title

$75

Haku Meiga—a series where master foil artisans recreate famous ukiyo-e with Kanazawa Haku, letting the artwork glow against a luminous foil background.

The motif is Hokusai’s ‘Fine Wind, Clear Morning’ - widely known as ‘Red Fuji.’ In late summer to early autumn, Mt. Fuji can appear red at sunrise—a rare sight considered auspicious in Japan. The drifting sardine clouds and lingering snow at the summit capture a fleeting, seasonal moment.

Use it as an accessory or key tray, a small serving tray for sweets, or a display piece that brings art into daily life.

Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849) was one of the great masters of ukiyo-e woodblock printing. His compositions influenced artists far beyond Japan, including European Impressionists.
