Kitayama-sugi is Kyoto's own tree: prized for centuries as the finest pillar wood for tea rooms and temples, including the Golden Pavilion. Grown straight and fine-grained in the mountains north of the city.
As a bracelet it is remarkably light — barely there on the wrist — with the clean, forest-fresh character cedar is loved for. The most accessible piece in the collection, and the most quintessentially Kyoto.
Hand-strung in Kyoto.
Material: Main beads: Kitayama cedar · Cord: Polyurethane elastic
Size: Inner ø 16.5 cm (6.5")

Each piece is handmade — natural variations in grain, color, and bead size are part of the craft.
