Haku Meiga—a series where master foil artisans recreate famous ukiyo-e with Kanazawa Haku, letting the artwork glow against a luminous foil background.
The motif is Hokusai’s ‘Under the Wave off Kanagawa’ (The Great Wave), an iconic image from “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji”. The towering wave and the small boats below create dramatic tension, while Mt. Fuji remains calm in the distance.
Use it as an accessory or key tray, a small serving tray for sweets, or a display piece that brings art into daily life.
Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849) was one of the great masters of ukiyo-e woodblock printing. His compositions influenced artists far beyond Japan, including European Impressionists.
