A bowl from potter Akihiro Nikaido, who works in Izu, Shizuoka. Pale yellow glaze crackles and pools over a dark body, giving each bowl a surface closer to stone or shell than to smooth glaze.
Each piece is made by hand, so shape, color and glaze vary slightly from piece to piece. Hand washing recommended.
Offered by WAZA alongside JAPAN CRAFT — Art for Living: HYAKKO at Japan House Los Angeles (November 6, 2026 – January 24, 2027).
