Kutani Free Cup – Kokutani (Gold-Lined) – Default Title

$140

Kutani ware is a Japanese porcelain tradition from Ishikawa Prefecture, celebrated for vivid overglaze enamel painting and rich color.

Ko-Kutani (“Old Kutani”) is the original style of Kutani ware: bold black outlines filled with red, yellow, green, deep blue, and purple, with motifs drawn from plants and landscapes.

The interior is lined with pure gold leaf, finished to bring out its full shine. Use it for sake or tea, or as a small dessert bowl for ice cream and sweets. The cups stack neatly, so it’s easy to collect several patterns.

Care:

  • Hand wash recommended to protect the gold finish.
