Haku Meiga—a series where master foil artisans recreate dramatic ukiyo-e with Kanazawa Haku, letting the artwork glow against a luminous foil background.
The motif is Hokusai’s ‘Fine Wind, Clear Morning’ - widely known as ‘Red Fuji.’ In late summer to early autumn, Mt. Fuji can appear red at sunrise—a rare sight considered auspicious in Japan. The drifting sardine clouds and lingering snow at the summit capture a fleeting, seasonal moment.
Store jewelry and small essentials, or display it as a small art object that brightens a room with a quiet glow.
Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849) was one of the great masters of ukiyo-e woodblock printing. His compositions influenced artists far beyond Japan, including European Impressionists.
