A solid wooden egg that holds a few drops of essential oil and lets them go slowly. Wood is porous: drip oil onto the top, and the egg draws it in, then releases the scent into the air a little at a time — no water, no heat, no cord. The scent stays close, enough for a desk, a nightstand or a bathroom shelf, not a whole room.
The wood is left unfinished so the oil can soak in, and the grain shows through on every side. No two are quite alike.
How to use
Set the egg on a small glass or ceramic dish, then add 2–3 drops of essential oil to the top. How long the scent lasts depends on the oil and the room temperature. When it fades, add a few more drops.
Changing scents
Rinse the egg with hot water and let it dry completely before using a different oil.
