The companion piece to our men's silhouette, sized for a refined fit — bringing together aizome fermentation indigo and yamazakura mountain cherrywood.
Each cherrywood bead is hand-dyed by the AWAJI AILAND project using only naturally fermented indigo, with no chemical fixatives. The deep navy that results — kachi-iro, the 'victory color' — was once worn by samurai before battle and reserved for occasions of celebration.
Left unsealed so it deepens with wear, the indigo gains a quiet luster that belongs only to its wearer. Hand-finished by a master Kyoto juzu artisan on quadruple silicone cord and presented in a paulownia (kiri) gift box.
A graceful piece for daily wear — and a thoughtful gift carrying centuries of Japanese craft tradition.
